Good News to Share

I’m so happy to report that Leah is drug free. She had an appointment down in SF this weekend and her Doctor is really excited about her progress. She has been off of medication for a week and although she probably still has lasting influence from the meds, her Hemangioma is staying relatively mellow. If it continues to stay mellow (or not grow) than we are scott free. We will just let it start to fade on its own. It will be such a relief to not have to give her meds everyday. We have already noticed that it is blotchy and less red. We are excited for Leah and looking forward to the day when strangers don’t stop us in public to tell us that we can get that ‘thing’ cut off. She continues to be resilient with all the changes. Evidently coming off of the meds can be a difficult process and can affect their eating and moods. So far we are just struggling with these obnoxious teeth that are coming in. It feels like she’s a newborn again. She was up at 8, 10, 12, & 2 last night and up for the day at 6:30am. Sigh…..maybe I should go nap.

That's great news! It must have been hard to see your baby on medication :( Krew has a hemangioma on the side of his head. It wasn't visible for the first two months of his life, now it's getting bigger each month. The dr. said it was very common and would probably fade between 2-4 years of age. That's the first thing EVERYONE notices about him.

That is really great news! I hope all goes well. Scrips can be nasty especially for such a little girl.

She is looking so old and is thinning out a ton. Where did you get her super cute clothes?

Walter doesn't like cutting his teeth either. We are up to six and each set seems to be a little bit easier on him...thank goodness.

I can empathize with you on the no meds. When Hank finally got off his at 11 months it was such a relief!
