After checking out our great room and the view,

our first stop was a trip to the pool. It was warm and a nice way to unwind from the drive.
We went to Avila Farms, a favorite destination since visiting here last year. It's an apple hill-ish type place to go. Tons of beautiful scenery, and wonderful fresh fruit and pastries to drool over.
They also have this great jam that my sis inlaw is obsessed with. She had me buy her a life's supply of it :) You can spend a quarter to feed all the animals they have there with lettuce, left over fruit and vegetable pieces.

Love the size of lettuce that each of them are comfortable using.
We spent the remainder of the day at Avila Beach. The town is less known than Pismo so it's not as crowded. The beach has a few playgrounds on it and across the street there are all sorts of cafes and candy shops. We brought down food from the Taco Shack. Yum.
The kids hated every minute of it, you can tell by the pictures.
We spent a morning in Morro Bay. Such a charming little town with tons of little shops.
They have a great little playground right next to the dock. J and I sat there watching the kids play dreaming of the day that we could live in a place like this were you go out on the sailboat for the day. So cool.
They have this really funky little aquarium with a few rehabilitating sea lions that you can feed cut up fish to. Andrew is more like me and would rather not touch the fish. But Leah was all over it and had a great time tossing the fish in.

Of course we saw my sister's show. We got the V.I.P. treatment including entering through the back door, watching vocal warm ups, watching all the actors scramble to be ready on time, front row seats, and afterwards the kids got to meet some of the cast and walk around backstage. They even got to take home a prop from the show. It was great!! They are still singing all the songs from the show. I wish I had taken better pictures, there was just too much excitement to worry about pictures. I'm so proud of my sister she is so special to those kids and she has only been there for a year.
For our last day we went to the beach with my sister. So nice to sit and chat with her while we watched the kids play. Later that night we met up with Jaime in downtown San Luis and had
dinner and wandered around the town.
.
I accidentally broke Andrew's candy while moving him for the picture. Nice. I think he was upset about it for close to 3 hours.
Overall it was a great trip. Most likely will be repeated next year :)

You live in such a great area to do the neatest things! I would love living so close to the beach. Your kids always look so happy and fulfilled.
