Vacation Madness

So grateful to have been able to spent a beautiful week in Pismo with Jason's whole side of the family. I think there were 30 of us in all.

Of that 30, about 14 were cousins :)
The beach was a 5 minute walk down these crazy steep steps. We went everyday and loved every second of it. There was plenty for the kids to do for hours on end.

We took a trip 30 minutes north to Morro Bay.

We had some delicious fish tacos and enjoyed this amazing Pirate park right next to the marina.

We also went to Hearst Castle. It was gorgeous. We took the garden tour since you are not allowed to touch ANYTHING and the indoor tour was like 3 hours long.

This is how Andrew felt about the tour.

We considered "falling" into this pool until we found out that it was a $750 fine for accidentally falling in.

This is Leah's version of not touching anything. She couldn't resist kissing the poor faceless lion thing.

These little ones had a pretty great time. They are exactly 1 year and 4 months apart.

The funniest story by far was that while taking Leah to the bathroom she couldn't hold it any longer and had an accident in her pants. It was lovely to walk around the rest of the tour with her with no pants on. Afterward it was late and we needed to stop for something to eat. There weren't any drive-thrus for miles. We were in quite a dilemma with the whole "No shirt, no shoes, no service" thing. I had this great idea to put her sweatshirt on her legs and the could be makeshift pants. She was a great sport and we all had a fabulous laugh about it.

We got home late afternoon on Friday and within 90 minutes or so I was out the door and headed to Sierraville to enjoy the last night of Girl's Camp. Sooooooo happy I went.
