We got to go to our 1st Giants game last night. Never thought it was actually going to happen. It was really hard to find someone to commit to watch the little ones for not only the 2 1/2 hr game but also for the 4 hours we spent in the car. Luckily my brother agreed to hang with the little ones since he lives here, I thought it would be a bit easier to convince him.
Of course things were complicated by Leah getting super sick and us debating whether or not we could leave her. On top of all that the weather was terrible. Storming all day long left us no hope of making it to the game. In professional baseball they don't decide if they are going to postpone or delay the game until the official starting time. So only after leaving and driving 2 hours to SF and waiting until 7:15pm were we going to find out what our fate was. On our way down we drove through what seemed like 6 or 7 different storms.
We drove up to the ballpark and were delighted to see that the Baseball Gods were smiling on us. We enjoyed a really exciting game. Not sure my husband has ever had a smile on his face for that extended amount of time. Didn't hurt that the Giants won and that the drunk people in front of us didn't stay all 9 innings.
