Summatime part 1

SWIMMING:

Andrew spent the entire summer in the pool since I taught swim lessons almost every day.
Being a working mom is tough. Lessons took up a big part of every day and it left me little time to accomplish other things at home. I have so much respect for Moms that work full time jobs. My hat is off for sure.

WEDDING
We took a trip to LA for Kiel's wedding.

We were totally in love with the weather but so not in love with the traffic. We went to the Santa Barbara zoo and of course went on the train. Leah was quite the dare devil and was trying to put more than her arms and legs out of the train.

They had this really fun kids area with a steep hill covered in astro-turf. All the kids slid down the hill over and over. Drew was nice enough to take Leah down with him.

FOLSOM LAKE:
Last summer when we moved here, the lake was already too low to go boating on. So this summer we were super excited to take the boat out. Sadly though, we had to wait for it to come back from the shop after it had a tune up. Evidently the shop loved the boat too, because they had it for 1/2 the summer. So once we finally got our paws on it. Jas and I have taken it out like twice a week. Warm afternoons and chilly mornings alike, we are no respector of days. If we have a free few hours, we are out there. It's very reminiscent of the summer we met 9 years ago. We spent the entire summer on the lake.

SPORTS
Jason and I were both quite excited when Drew started asking about playing baseball and soccer. We found these summer sport camps that are 4 weeks long, once a week. Andrew has loved them almost as much as his daddy. As for me and Lu we are enjoying cheering in the shade.

GIANTS:
One of the reasons Jay is most excited to be home is because now we can go see the Giants play. Jay has already been to 2 games and we have plans for a few more visits. It's really a gorgeous park. The games are really exciting and the food is delicious. I had the Boudin bread bowl with chili.
