A Different Kind of Christmas

This year we were so fortunate to spend the entire Christmas week in Sea Ranch. We enjoyed many warm fires and naps in our cozy house on the rainy days. And we tried to take every opportunity of the sunny days hiking along the bluffs and exploring the tide pools. Such a wonderful and relaxing way to enjoy Christmas. Andrew got to play with his all of his cousins every single day. What a treat!! We also got a few opportunities to get out as adults as we had some attentive and willing little babysitters.
It was our first year being alone on Christmas morning, usually we are at one of our parents' houses. We got such a kick out of Andrew enjoying every single gift. He got excited about the
smallest things. Leah was great and quickly learned how fun it was to tear the paper.
Anyway, we really enjoyed this change of pace and loved its simplicity.

Every time we are in SR, we always attempt a self portrait of the family. Not so great, but good for memories none the less.

Doesn't sound like the typical Christmas but it sounds dreamy regardless. Cute family picture. Your kids are darling.

What did you end up reading while you were there?

What a great way to spend Christmas! glad you guys had fun. Are you sure you wouldn't trade it for 12 inches of snow!? :)

Oh, while on the beach I know you were missing the snow here. So far it has been pretty heavy. Glad you had a great Christmas - what a beautiful place to have it!
