We enjoyed all the gardens of Balboa Park and even caught a glimpse of some turtles in the lily pads
There was a beautiful butterfly plant with caterpillars, chrysalides, and butterflies all over it.
We wandered around the model train museum.
We headed over to the San Diego Zoo which we enjoyed immensely. We got to see the Panda Bears which are unique to this zoo.
This is Leah after her traumatizing experience with the Lorakeets at the Wild Animal Park.
She was sure that she wanted to hold a cup of nectar even though we told her that they would land on her to drink from it. Poor thing had a massive freakout when one landed on her shoulder.
Andrew experienced his first water/roller coaster ride at Sea World. He was very brave.
Ev and Grandpa had some bonding time while checking out the Polar Bears.
Sea Turtles are pretty captivating. I think we stood here for 20 minutes.
We had the special treat of eating lunch with Shamu. He was 2 feet from our table. Pretty awesome!!
Kids enjoyed being treated with a few souvenirs. Pilot goggles and kitty outfit.
We toured the USS Midway which was right outside our hotel across the street.
On our way back to the airport we walked around the San Diego Temple. Really gorgeous.
All in all it was a really great vacation. We heart San Diego!!
